FAQ

Yes! While we request that your first session take place in the office, you can have subsequent sessions either in person or via video, as long as you are in the state of Minnesota at the time of your session. Rob uses Sessions by Psychology Today to provide HIPAA compliant teletherapy.

Yes! Rob is happy to provide counseling from a Christian perspective, which can include praying for clients and using the Bible in sessions as clients prefer. However, he does not provide “Biblical Counseling” or counseling that exclusively uses the Bible and ignores other sources of information. Rob believes in the saying “all truth is God’s truth” and he uses psychological theories and techniques in addition to the Bible in order to best serve clients.

We can currently accept Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Health Partners, Hennepin Health, Medica, Medicare, Minnesota State Healthcare Programs, TRICARE, UCare, UMR, & United Healthcare.

Each year, we adjust session costs to account for inflation and expenses. Starting in January 2025, all session costs and charges will increase by $5.

If you are paying out of pocket, each 50-55 minute session costs $180. In January, that will increase to $185.

If you are paying through insurance, your insurance company determines what it considers each session to be worth and your cost per session will depend on that and your specific insurance plan. Your session cost for insurance is also determined by the length of the session.

The prices that we quote for insurance companies are as follows:

  • Diagnostic Session: $200 ($205 in January)
  • Couple/Family Session: $180 ($185 in January)
  • 53-60 min Individual Session: $180 ($185 in January)
  • 40-52 min Individual Session: $150 ($155 in January)
  • 30 min Individual Session: $100 ($105 in January)

You can schedule your session by e-mailing, calling, texting, or clicking this link

We are open Monday through Thursday, 10am-8pm.

We work with adult individuals and couples as well as teens age 14 and older.

We are happy to discuss discounted sessions for those who do not have insurance and cannot afford our standard rates.

When going through an Employee Assistance Plan (EAP), you should be given an authorization number. You can schedule a session by calling, texting, e-mailing, or using the Schedule Appointment link on the website. Along with the standard information requested, please also include the authorization number so we can properly bill sessions.

Each EAP authorization allows a certain number of sessions. If you would like to continue counseling after you have reached the limit for your EAP sessions, future sessions will be billed through your regular health insurance.
